A.V. “Buster” Beardsley III, president of First Security Beardsley Public Finance, formed the firm for a single purpose: to serve the financing needs of Arkansas school districts. Long before founding this company, Buster began serving Arkansas schools. He has worked as a consultant in various capacities since 1964, and his family has worked with Arkansas public schools since 1949. Through the years, Buster has served as a financial advisor and fiscal agent for more than 100 school districts. During his career, he served as first vice president of Morgan Keegan & Company and was president of Beardsley’s Educational Consultant Services Inc. Buster attended the University of Arkansas. He stays involved in civic affairs by volunteering his time to many organizations. Buster served as PTA president for four Little Rock schools. He also held posts as president of the McClellan Optimist Club and governor of the Arkansas District of Optimist International. Also, he served as chairman of the Optimist International Leadership Development Committee. Buster maintains the following professional licenses (FINRA): Series 7, General Securities Representative; Series 63, Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination; and Series 79, Investment Banking Representative.
