Susan Reed is an investment banker in our public finance team. A licensed attorney in Indiana and South Carolina, Susan has served in various public finance roles with a wealth of industry experience previously working as a bond attorney and a municipal advisor. Her experience includes working and assisting cities, towns, counties, school districts and utilities with issuing debt. She has worked with issuers to prepare for the issuance of debt, including development of policies, preparing for the rating process and assisting with continuing disclosure compliance. Susan has also worked with local governments in a community and economic development role for a joint action public power utility.
Susan holds a BA from Purdue University and a JD from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. She is a registered municipal advisor and municipal advisor principal. She also holds a Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting Level II Credential from the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Foundation.
Susan enjoys engaging in associations that promote better government and economic development and is active in many organizations, such as Accelerate Indiana Municipalities, Association of Counties, Indiana Economic Development Association, and the Indiana Women in Public Finance. She is a past president of the Mid-America Economic Development Council and a past chairperson of the East Central Indiana Regional Partnership and an executive committee member for the Indiana Economic Development Association.
She is the proud mother of two girls and is married to a Purdue Boilermaker. When she is not working, she prefers to be outdoors – biking, jogging and walking her dogs and loves music and going to concerts.
